MY USER NAME - The Site Made Me Do It! Aaarrghhh!

To all:

I had trouble logging in today. I had my correct password and username (in fact it's stored in my computer and my computer put it in as always) but the site kept telling me I had to pick a user name! HUH? I had to try two before it took, and I think I've seen them both here on the board, so I have no idea what kind of glitch happened.

I've been Pearlee on the QVC site for years, but today I was also Pearley and Pearlee2.

I didn't want to have to change my name but the site made me! And I certainly didn't want to post under some other identity. Uh uh, that's just not my personality.

So, however Pearlee is now spelled or indicated, those two variations - Pearley and/or Pearlee2, are both Pearlee.

I hope I don't have this much trouble tomorrow when I log in!

Every so often the Q refuses to recognize me. I wait an hour or two and sign on without difficulty.

You have probably done this already, but if not have you thought of contacting the @ QVCSocialTeam to ask if this can be corrected?

I happen to enjoy your posts and when I saw 2 other versions of 'Pearlee' earlier, I wasn't sure if it was you or 2 new variations of your nic that belong to other posters!

Thanks for clearing this up for me, LOL!

I did see on the website this morning that they were doing 'maintenance', maybe that was the problem.

When I first tried to sign in this morning I was told to pick a nickname. After two tries to bypass the nickname demand I finally typed in Marp, my nic since 2004, and it was accepted.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

It's been doing weird things to me today, too. There's a glitch in the system, I tell ya!!!!!

@KingstonsMom Awwwww, thanks so much about enjoying my posts, and the same to you (and Drythe too!). One reason I specified all variations of my username in my post is in case someone starts posting as someone similar....so far that isn't me!

This happened to me once before but after more attempts I finally did get in under Pearlee - I had remembered that this morning and I kept thinking it would let me in if I kept trying. But it was just worse and worse and I didn't even realize Pearlee2 had been successful at any point because after putting that one in the system still kept asking me to pick a username. It was all very frustrating this morning!

I do like Pearlee, my longstanding name, better than what I am now so maybe QVC social can help me.
