I have a few beautiful warm robes, I live in them in the winter, even wear them over my clothes to add warmth in the house.

I have a fleece robe that is over 20 years old, not ratty at all, and I wear it daily. It's a mid-calf length wrap style, very comfortable and I just can't part with it. It has held up well through years of laundering and wear. I have another wrap robe, ankle length, made of some type of velour material and I don't wear it much.

I know I need to replace "Old Blue" some day or at least give her a wardrobe rest...but the color goes well with my eyes. LOL

I love robes. Have them in summer and winter weights. I probably have 8 of them.

I don't like extra fabric lying around.  So I don't lounge wear or robes either.  Neither does my husband.  Don't have throws lying around on furniture.  Also don't own extra cardigan sweaters.  Any fabric lying on the floor, the furniture, sitting endlessly in closets goes out to the trash.

Years ago when I owned a robe, it hung on a hook behind the bathroom door.  Throws are on the beds.  Cardigan sweaters are hung in the closet.   I don't have any "extra fabric" hanging out where it shouldn't.

I thought it was "required"...(what do you grab when you have an emergency?)

@Desertdi  - my jammies are a tank top and lounge pants.  In an emergency, I grab a hoodie.

@Janey2  ... I also only want robes with buttons or snaps.   Your post made me check on the Macy's website where I have always purchased my robes.  They have never been easy to find but now the situation seems to have gotten worse.  Unfortunately, Macy's doesn't  seem to carry them any longer.  I just purchased one on Amazon. Your might want to check there.

Yes, Love robes. Wear them every morning. I own 3 of them. 2 long thick Winter robes and a shorter Summer robe. Would not be without one.

I like my robes to have a zipper!! snaps tend to open up and buttons do the same.
