I don't think I've owned a robe in 30 years.

@Nonametoday

OH MY!  I hope you feel better.

I buy the thickest robes I can find for fall-winter.

I wore men's insulated tops under my maternity sweaters!

Yes, I have a LLBEAN robe that's about 20 years old. Use it everyday.

Re: Do You Own A Robe

[ Edited ]

I have a fleece robe from Carole Hochman that I sleep in every night, year round. I am married to a ridiculously hot-natured Minnesotan who likes the thermostat on "frostbite" so I put the robe on over my pjs and take it off one arm during the night if and when I warm up. Can't live without that robe! I wash it once a week and it is years old...looks like new. I have two others but they are thicker and not as easy to sleep in...I wear them in the mornings when it is chilly.

I love robes and own many long and short robes.  It has to be zip up though.  I also don't like a collar.  The neck has to be smooth and lay flat.  (I'm picky).

I love long wrap around robes.  Don't want a zipper going up the front of me!  Or snaps!!

I like fleece or chenille the best.  Have a terry cloth robe also.

I like them oversized.

I wear them out of the shower or bath.  I never put a nightie or pjs on straight from the shower.

@Jordan2... I have many, many robes in every color for different seasons! I love everyone of them! I bought most of them from Stan Herman and Carole Hochman and have zippers...my favorite! My two cute summer robes are from Kohl's. They're the puckered material. Light as a feather! I wear a nightgown all day and have the robe nearby. I have fibromyalgia and I'm unable to wear a bra or anything tight around my waist so my nightgowns and robes have been a lifesaver for me !!

@shoptilyadropagain   .. where do you purchase your robes with snaps?  I only wear robes with snaps but they are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

@Boehm Collector The last couple of times, I've ordered them from Blair.  They're not fancy nor the greatest quality but it serves my purpose, they keep me warm while I'm getting ready AND they have snaps.  I know what  you mean about not being able to find snaps on robes.  The last I checked, Blair still carried this robe.  It's getting about time for me to order another one.

I have two cotton-blend robes for spring/summer and two plush ones for fall/winter...but I mostly wear the cotton-blend ones year round. They are all ankle-length and full front zippers...I do not like wrap robes at all.

If I'm not going anywhere first thing in the morning, I put a robe on as soon as I get up. I then eat breakfast, check emails, whatever, then shower and dress. Sometimes I'll put my robe back on in the evening after dinner. When I was still working, I often came home, undressed, and put my robe on right away...it was just more comfortable sometimes.
