My brother in law just returned from FL and a good friend spends the month of March there.  Both said there are no restrictions and bars/restaurants are crowded.  Both of them are in their 70s.

I also heard/read that the residents of The Villages in FL have no restrictions so it's not just "young" people who are congregating.

Earlier today I saw a group of young girls and their moms run into a local dance studio. 

They can't be in school, so just crowd them into a dance studio!

As far as restrictions for bars and restaurants, this is only true in certain locations. There are plenty of uninformed and illogical older people too.

I am not surprised for reasons best left unsaid. 

I will say when you are young, idealistic and think only older people catch diseases and pass, you are living in your own world.  Perhaps those of us who are older did the same, but this is reality and everyone should be using their common sense and whatever brains they have to ensure their health and the health of others is protected as much as possible.

At a Tuesday morning press conference, Florida Gov. DeSantis ordered all bars and nightclubs to close for 30 days starting at 5 p.m. today.

@Mindy D  I saw that.  When I posted it to my daughter (with 3 teenagers) she posted back...(paraphrasing), "Well maybe it's because 'adults' don't take seriously global warming like THEY should".

My daughter and I get along wonderfully unless it comes to politics or things generational.

She is always speaking for her teens and when I ask them about whatever she's said 9 times out of 10 they'll say, "Grandma, I never said that".

I'll say, "Do the kids like lasagna?  I made some".  She'll say, "No, they don't like it".  Then I'll say to them, "I know you don't like lasagna......" and they'll stop me and say, "Like it, I love it".

Anyway, that's my daughter's explanation for why some of these young adults are so selfish.

Funny (not as in ha ha funny) thing is she's been driving me crazy about not eating out or leaving the house since the first day this virus came out.

Admittedly, I watch too much news, so I'm already worried more than I'd like.

However, I think in the coming days/weeks/months, we are going to be horrified by what's ahead.  When I hear the Governor of NY speak about their outlook, it is frightening.

I'm not sure any of us are prepared for the outcome.

And, I hope nothing more than my worry is for nothing.  It's not looking that way, though.

I'm in Maryland, and I think we are one step away from the full Shelter in Place like San Francisco.
