Wow ....   If 28,000 Disney employees have been working, I find that surprising.  Don't know about Disneyland in CA, but I just didn't think amusement parks anywhere were open.  Hmm.

@Tinkrbl44 , yes amusement parks are open in some states.  Cedar Point here in Ohio is open.  Disneyland in CA isn't open yet.

I heard on the news that Disney World employs 77,000 people and most who are being laid off are part-time.

I wouldn't be going to Disney anyway. Businesses should have never been forced to shut down. Never!

@Itsokitsok, can you enlighten me as to how you would have or will contain the pandemic?

Yes, I would also like to know what the solution is that would have allowed businesses to be open in spite of a contagious virus that has killed many people.  This ought to be good.

@Itsokitsok

Please ... fill us in on your solution.

@Tinkrbl44

Our amusement parks here in Texas have been open since June ....Here's from our newspaper SA Express/News--

Despite lingering concerns about the coronavirus pandemic, amusement parks and waterparks across San Antonio are reopening for summer fun.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas — which reopens June 19 to members and season pass holders, and to all guests June 22 — is using an online system to handle reservations. It’s also requiring visitors over age 2 and all employees to wear face masks.

Sea World San Antonio will reopen on June 19.
Aquatica victors must make reservations ahead and expert to have their temperature checked upon arrival. Guests must wear masks in designated areas, but face coverings won't be allowed on water attractions. The park will remain open for the summer season.

I think you miss the point.

No, I don't believe she (or I) missed the point.

But ... just to be clear, what exactly is the point you think we missed?

@Lali1  Hardly.

I just happen to counsel those that bury their loved ones: their parents, their children, their siblings, their spouses and didn't have the chance to say good-bye or hold their hand as they died courtesy of COVID.

I just happen to have a child whose heart is weak and so we can't take a risk with him. I rarely get to see him because of my job; doing ZOOM therapy isn't what works when someone has been told the person they love is now dead.

I just happen to live in the biggest hotspot of the US for COVID and know for a fact that the numbers that the press is reporting from our state are NOT true; it's much worse.

I just happen to think that wearing a mask isn't a big deal. Not asking you to stay home (because those that have risks believe they have no choice due to the attitude you share with many) but  !am asking to just think about helping out those that need your help.

What's your excuse?

Masks and social distancing as they say are working just fine. My business is thriving with people wearing masks. Simply put - just use common sense- if you have underlying conditions- don't go out and about. Businesses now deliver contactless. Don't shut the country down.
