from home. She has an hour commute each way normally, so getting those extra 2 hrs. a day is great. No getting up really early, fighting traffic and saving on gas is good too. Also, no office drama.
Now, she does miss getting out and about some but all in all she's happy with the set up, not the reason for it obviously.
I know some don't like it at all and will be ready to get back.
For me, it's nice to have her here for lunch, but other than bathroom breaks, I don't see here from 8:30 am to noon, and from 1:00pm to 5.
I realize she has no kids to worry about and that makes a big difference. She does have a feline "co-worker" that occasionally gets the boot from her office.
Do you like working from home?

I used to commute an hour each way as well, but no longer work.
For your daughter - The extra time, not having the hassle of driving or sitting in traffic and the bother of all that pollution is good for her - mind and body.
I'm happy for your daughter...
I hope her employer will allow her to work remotely a few days a week - it's good for her LITERALLY, and Miss P likes it too.
Speaking of - give 'er a kiss on the forehead and tell lil P it's from Aunt Ko!

@CrazyKittyLvr2i'm glad DD can work from home thus protecting you from exposure. I'm sure Miss P is a welcome distraction.
I too work from home. I have a view out the window that i've really enjoyed. Computer access has been a challenge but that's getting better. Sometimes i loose track of what day it is...

@MoonieBaby The "little helper" best not get used to this arrangement. When we get the good to go it's back to the office DD goes.
At least at the office your co-workers don't try to chew your cables, walk on your keyboard or try an get on your head (with claws out) because they hear a voice on the phone. Those offenses get P banished from the office and the door shut.

My cat can't stand to be excluded from a room by shutting the door. When my husband and I shut the doors to our offices, she just scratches at the door until we let her in.

@ninjawife If Petunia gets in trouble (hard to believe) and is ejected from DD's office, she comes downstairs and I becomes her best friend. She tries to chew MY computer cord and walk all over me.
To heck with the dozens of toys, her 3-way tunnel and the huge cat tree.

I have been staying at my Parent's also since about Mar 12th - they have an older cat (he's about 14 yrs old) so he sleeps most of the afternoon while I am trying to work, which is a good thing.
The worst time with him is when he wakes up and wants his breakfast (but doesn't get until one of my parent's gets up which is not until at least 7 am (he's diabetic and has to have insulin when he eats) - so he wanders around down in the basement (where he & I sleep) hollering or scratching on one of the furnance doors, this morning he was awake at 6:30 am so I had to listen to him for 30 mins).

I love working from home. It's going to be a sad day when work reopens. They are talking June 1 and doing it in phases.
