My idea of "fast food" is the Whole Foods buffet....It consists of the most expensive salad...but it is fast, organic, and they have two choices of oil free dressing to go with!
One other emergency go-to last resort fast food is Baja Fresh....I get a plate of black beans and rice with no cheese, but add sliced avo on top. Then I add a small side salad....hold the cheese and dressing. Then I go to the side bar and load up a lot on fresh Pico de Gallo for dressing. Beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, avo,....it will do when in an emergency. Not bad at all!

Thai Pho or Chinese food.
Pho is incredibly healthy, a known Vietnamese comfort food that reportedly also helps heal a cold. You can top it with fresh Asian basil and other greens.

I can't say it's my 'current' because we don't have them where I live in the Philly area but when I go home to Dallas I have to have a Breakfast Jack or 2.
My local current favorite was Chic Fil A spicy chicken strips but we no longer eat poultry so I guess I have to find another one.
Our local Burger Kings closed so a Whopper Jr. is out. I guess I'm out of the fast food market.

Yup.... @Noel7 I forgot Pho....I always ask for veggie broth, no meat and go heavy on the greens, thai basil, and mung bean sprouts. Very tasty and another "fast food" choice.

Oh, good, another Pho person! @phoenixbrd
I love the Thai basil. I can find it at Asian markets, but not all the time. It's so tasty.

@Noel7 We will travel 15 miles to go to a well-stocked Asian market so I can buy ingredients for Thai Tum Yum soup. I make it vegan and purchase Thai basil, lemon grass, and other exotic goodies to make a delicious soup. I bet you would like it if you are a Pho fan.![]()

I know I would love that @phoenixbrd I bought lemon grass once and did not know what to do with it. The outer tough layer threw me.

We don’t eat at fast food restaurants, but I do make my own fast foods at home.
These are things I make when I don’t want to cook.
Sometimes, I do order sushi for take-out. I guess that is fast food. My youngest granddaughter asks for it all of the time. Our grocery store has Sushi Wednesdays where it is reasonably priced. $5 She reminds me every Wednesday. I will let her get some on occasion if we happen to be in the store on Wednesday.
