sales tactics bug me when a host can't remember what she last said about an item she owns.

They all have "pre-packaged" little stories that they use to sell stuff. Apparently the host forgot her story for that item. Like the host with "bad feet" who got the promotion and started wearing all those super cool, high end designer shoes. Super high heels. And suddenly her "bad feet" stories were a thing of the past. Don't believe everything that comes out of their mouths. That's not a criticism, it's just being realistic.

yep. Same host selling the teeny cross she saved up to buy or was a gift. ???

If you realize they are tactics and stories and possibly not exactly true, why let it "bug" you. Consider the source and take it for what it is.

I think people know their comments are sales tactics, but they want the customer to feel like they are your friend and friends don't lie to friends. I think it's good people continue to call the hosts out on this issue.

lol -- @adamlambertI certainly don't ever remember those things the hosts say. I have a hard enough time remembering whether I took my BP meds let alone I should worry about how a host I don't even know got her cross - or how many crosses she has, or whether she bought her shirt in 7 colors, etc.
Now if I happen to be shopping when my computer is off and they give me contradictory info about the size of something or the ingredients, then I might bother to remember. None of the rest of the chatter encourages me to buy nor pushes me away.

This bugs me, too. I don't like being lied to, even by a salesperson.

I dunno, I don't have time to take notes on what is said during sales presentations.

lol, I have an excellent memory and seldom watch this host. My first thought was, ok, I must watch her too much.

@adamlambert I hear ya'. My biggest, biggest, biggest pet peeve is lying. My sig line on here used to be "if you always tell the truth, you don't ever have to worry about what you said before". Something to that affect, anyway.
