Ever notice how they are always filmed in slow motion and the actors look so blissful and happy, live in nice homes and cook fabulous fresh meals? How come they need drugs?
And they are always dancing, or having a celebration no matter how sick they are. Then there’s the use of words from the voice over describing side effects such as “ some cancers have occurred” while the dancing is going on. Take this medicine. You will have a birthday cake at work, your spouse will hold your hand, you can attend your reunion, your skin will clear up and you can enjoy your bill for chemotherapy too!
And the surroundings always look like paradise: clear blue skies, sunny days, flowery gardens. Never wintry weather, cloudy skies, or rain! It almost reminds me of the theme song from Sesame Street. Lol.

Another huge falsehood in commercials are the car commercials. Often we see a beautiful, shiny, top of the line car being driven by a handsome man or beautiful woman, speeding along on the highway, not another car in sight, no trucks, no horns blaring, no police to give them a speeding ticket.
If they showed vehicles being driven in reality no one would want to buy a new car. Imagine driving your new $50,000 Audi on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway with cars cutting you off at every turn, huge semi's a mere inch from your bumper, and 3 lanes of traffic trying to merge into one!! Forgettaboutit!!!

The one I don’t like is this young couple in a big house. She says I got us an early gift and you see a black and a burgundy watch. He says, so did I and there’s an SUV and a Truck and she runs to the truck and he’s trying to tell her that’s his but she’s already in it. I mute it and turn away.

@jellyBEAN - You made me laugh out loud with your comment about the BQE! Lived in Brooklyn my whole life and it is so true! I think the only thing worse is the Belt Parkway!!

@Junebug54 Honestly, saying they have to expediate an order doesn't bother me.

Endless commercials - 1/3 of programming is dedicated to commercials. I hate the ones of the abused dogs; the children with cancer; pitching various drugs. I always mute the commercials - and have many large crossword puzzle books, which I work on during the commercials. Sometimes, I forget which tv show I'm watching.
I'm old, so I remember many great variety shows; sitcoms; talk shows; game shows (the original ones). Now, they're copying all the old shows - when u saw the originals, u can't watch the ones today.
They put out the shows which cost them nothing to produce - as they just copy the old ones.

And when a car is driving in snow, there’s never any dirt in the snow, or on the car!

Then of course there's the Peloton comercial with the gorgeous young woman spinning the heck out of it so she can be thinner and s@x ier for her man. Arm candy for sure.

I was just thinking how much I'm like "Where's Waldo".
I'll be at one end of the house, my phone is beeping..but it's in the other end of the house.
My daughter in Colorado knows my daughter who lives kinda close to me in visiting sister in Florida...if I don't get the text...she'll start calling...worried.
But first and above all else...I reach for the TV changer to get tha @@#$ commercial off of my TV.
I hit the facetime video except in the other room I was changing my clothes...
My daughter in Colorado is on her way home (her boyfriend(?) whatever...is sitting next to her....
She's like, "Whoa! Mom! What were you doing?"
I said, "Follow this...I was ironing, then I got hot so I went to the bedroom to take off my shirt..(iron still on) then I heard the phone beeping...I ignored it and saw a sweater that had little fuzzy balls on it...I got out the fuzzy ball shaver thingy, plugged it in and started using it...the phone is still beeping...then the I headed into the TV room, grabbed the changer and ...you got it...hit the facetime thingy on the phone and ...wait for it...STILL had to watch the commercial! Ugh!
She started laughing and said, "OK, I am your daughter and I should have known better than to ask. At first I thought maybe you had a boyfriend and was busy getting busy".
She was laughing so hard she dropped the phone! She said OMG! Mom!
Anyway, this is me...this is my life!

My favorite lately has been the one with the dog at the shelter (?) who looks like Chewbacca and the boy is after his dad for them to adopt him. I love the boy’s persistence, the dad’s expression when he first says no, and the end. It makes me smile every time.
I think it’s for a phone...Samsung?
