I find it laughably ironic that many who are all for arming teachers argue that there shouldn't be rocks in classrooms because the kids might get them and throw them at each other.   Really? Are we really having this discussion?

I find it strange that people keep saying that the rock are to defend themselves or launch a counter attack, how ridiculous.  You teach your children to scream, kick, bite to defend themselves when someone grabs them and run away, yet want them to sit quietly or play dead with an armed gunman.  Preventing the gunman from being there is one thing, teaching them what to do if one is there is another. You want to give them the best change of survival and if throwing a text book, book bags or a bucket of rocks gives them a better chance, then I am all for it.

Common sense tells us that throwing a rock at someone carrying an AR15 is like blowing bubbles and saying La La La when they walk into the classroom intending to shoot....The kids wouldn't live long enough to even get hold of a rock let alone survive.

Throwing A rock at someone may not, but 20 kids throwing anything that is not nailed down will cause pause.  Perhaps enough of a distraction to overtake the gunman or at least have him move on to a less confrontational target.  Why choose to sit and do nothing?  Those iconic words "Lets Roll" still apply.

Surely you jest. Throwing rocks is not a solution. In fact it's a disgrace that it was suggested. Surely, it obviously is a means of diverting the real solution of gun control and banning guns that shouldn't be available to the general public.

There was no explanation except pretending throwing rocks would save lives. I have no words for this lunacy.

These are measures to be used if a gunman breaks through the secured classroom doors. I would rather go down fighting then just let him shoot me.  It is a last ditch attempt to survive, not a plan for  school security. They are in a locked class room.. if this  locked door should fail, this is the last thing they can do to survive
