@Cats3000 - oh my gosh, I in no way, was trying to mock people who stutter. No way. I would NEVER do that. Never. When I read your post my hand literally clutched my chest.
I was quoting a line in an old David Bowie song (and I even said so in my original post) and that's what the lyrics say. It never occurred to me that there would any be any other meaning than how the lyrics are written and how he sang it.
My uncle had a severe stutter. I would never mock anyone for any sort of physical ailment or disability.

@Cats3000 Your sensitivity is understandable, but in this case you are mistaken.

@gidgetgh, you have no need to be upset. You did not post anything that was offensive.

I cried when I read your message. I am so sorry you and your husband are having to face these tragic health challenges.
At the same time I have come to the conclusion you hold the most respected title I can give someone--that of warrior. You are living with grace and dignity infused with a bit of humor while you fight to create a better/longer life for your husband.

@gidgetgh It's strange how song lyrics sometimes fit our situations.
When my husband had cancer and was in a wheel chair I often listened to Josh Groban songs. They seemed to help, I still recall the words and how they helped.
So, don't worry about artistic license with a song. You are going through changes. It's hard for both of you.
My husband fell also, usually after walking and then standing still. His was from agent orange. The chair helped.
Please rest when possible and get help when needed.
Take care!

@gidgetgh @Snoopp This is why I like to read everyone's posts. So many who post have experiences with caregiving and managing medical issues and challenges and are willing to support each other and share and suggest possible prescriptions to ask about that may help.
@gidgetgh You are very brave and know that your husband loves you and is so very grateful for the wonderful care that you are giving him, even if he doesn't or isn't able to always tell you. Sending hugs and prayers for both of you.
