@SandySparkles  That guy is a j-e-r-k for not opening the door for you, lovely Sandy Sparkles! I genuinely think that chivalry is dead sometimes and cellphones make it worse.  Story time: years ago in my late 20's I got onto a packed bus and a guy was sitting in the aisle seat using his i-phone and he was lazy and wanted me to squeeze by or crawl over his legs to sit down in the seat next to him .  The nerve of him!! I said, "Excuse me, may you please stand up for me?" He scoffed at me and pivoted slightly while looking at his dumb i-phone, but I still couldn't get through- so you know what I did? I sat on his lap on purpose .  He screamed and said, "Get off of me, sit over there!" I said, "I could've done just that if you let me through!"

@Nightowlz  Those women should thank your lovely DH for holding doors open!  Whenever a guy holds a door open for me while other men push and cut ahead of me, I make sure to say out loud, "Thank you, you're such a gentleman- they're rare these days!"

Any one in a large city on the I-95 east corridor knows most accidents are caused by people on the phone.  Every day.

I sold my good car and stopped driving the highways.  One the second accident I had recently had an abdominal surgery with my seatbelt on and it hit me hard right there in my gut.  Unreal.

My friend's daughter got hit with her 4 children in the car.  He ran out of it and took off.  Had no insurance whatsoever.  Her car was totalled and so insurance did not help her.

Sadly, the genie was let out of the bottle with very little oversight.This is affecting EVERY aspect of our daily lives to some degree!😐 I am just SO happy it was not worse for you❤, and that you are able to be here gracing us with your kind presence.🥰 You were indeed BLESSED!💝

 I only wish I knew the answer. Of course I know what to say in theory, but in all actuality... Perhaps more public awareness campaigns starting with the lower grade levels in schools, because it is almost impossible for the existing laws to be fully enforced for a number of reasons.🙁 Society is paying the price for the irresponsibility of others, and BLATANT disregard for human life.😐 I just HATE the idea of ONE more innocent person being harmed in ANY way by such indifference!!❤

@Pecky Welcome!🥰 She has "skills", but I cannot tell you how INFURIATING this is for me to read!😡 Not being fully present while pushing her precious child in a stroller is VERY concerning!😐 Sadly, I trust her fur baby more to look after the safety of the child.😁 This is another sad story that leaves me shaking my head this evening.😩

@BunSnoop Welcome!🥰 I often wonder the EXACT same thing!🤔 As our lives have changed because of technological innovations, some people MUST be out and about on their phones for the sake of business. My wish is that they do so RESPONSIBILY, and be mindful of others and themselves when out walking. Therein lies the conundrum.😊

My husband and I went to Target to pick up some wine that we like on sale.  We went down the wine aisle and there was another woman right ahead of us and then ahead of her (closely) was a young woman (probably no more than 19 or 20) with her shopping cart and talking on her cell phone.  The lady ahead of us was trying to reach around her and can tell she was being nice and trying not to "interupt"her.  Then the lady said excuse me and the 19/20 year old lashed out.  Very loudly saying, "WHAT!!!" like she was being bothered.  I just can't believe people sometimes.

@Shelbelle Welcome!🥰 You brought up something that has not yet been discussed, at least I do not recall having seen it yet.😊 The salons are notorious, but I must admit to having had quick necessary chats with family when I receive an important call.😐 If I cannot take it in a private location or outside, I make it VERY brief, and speak in a hushed tone so as not to distract other customers. I also have my phone silenced on vibrate.😁 I must say, you CERTAINLY know the personal business of some of them by the time you leave.😊
