And huge celebrity news like that wouldn't somehow "leak" out? I sincerely doubt that.

I don't think celebrities owe the public photo's of their children. However, if they choose to post pictures of them, turning their backs to the public is an insult. Turning one's back to another is, and has been an established form of dismissal, a statement of not caring. Surely, the phrase, he turned his back me" is commonly known. Walking away compounds it.
