Good question.....you'd think they would all be on high alert after Cecil, at least increased patrols.
Something.

I am so sad about all this. I can't say what needs to be done because my posts gets deleted by the Q police. I agree with the poster who said shoot his knee caps and leave him there...that should be done to anyone who hurts an animal...wish I could try out my new glock on those hunters!

At this time, I don't possess a good grip on my vocabulary and I fear that I will write something that I know in my heart that I won't regret.
So, I'm going to read up on how to throw a curse on someone and I'll see you around later :-)
I have some freaky lookin' dolls I picked up in New Orleans, I'll send you some.......now where'd I put those pins???

I know. Jack Hanna was just commenting on Anderson C's show the other night how depleted the entire lion population is since Jack first went to Africa many years ago.
This has to stop or they, like elephants too, will become extinct. Those beautiful kings of the jungle. They did nothing to deserve to die. They just were living their lion life, with Jericho even doing a good deed for brother Cecil's cubs, and now those magnificent animals are both gone....and for what? That dentist started this. If Cecil hadn't been shot and gotten all that publicity, Jericho would probably still be here.

Agree 100%, Pearlee - and I also agree with your previous comment that Zimbabwe has to strictly enforce the ban on hunting.

“I’m very gutted, I’m very disappointed, I’m heartbroken. It’s just too much,”
Rodrigues told USA Today.

I went to sleep last night so grateful and happy that Jericho was standing tall for his big brother.
Then I woke up.

Trophy hunting is not sport and veiling it with 'conservation' is ludicrous.
I don't the killer has actually surfaced. All I've seen is he has had representatives contact authorities. Has that changed?
But IDC about Palmer. He's a symptom and in bringing awareness to this he's inadvertantly put a lot of light on it. The whole enterprise is foul.
Check out http://www.scifirstforhunters.org/ to get more understanding of some of the politics. These people advocate not for animals but for people to be able to hunt them. They lobby Congress on the trafficking and other things they view as roadblocks to their twisted bloodthirst.

I'm sorry, but I won't be clicking on that link, because as far as I'm concerned, I can't possibly understand the politics of trophy or thrill killing, nor those who lobby for it.
And I thank God that I can't.....

Wait! A glimmer of hope for Jericho and the cubs!!
From the Daily Mail UK:
There are also reports the GPS on his tag was still moving after the news broke and the animal that was slain could be part of an ongoing investigation by the park.
Shelley Cox, marketing manager of the African Bush Camps situated in Hwange said the news was false and insisted Jericho is alive and well.
Before his reported death there had been concerns Jericho would not be able to hold the territory of Cecil's cubs alone and could be chased away by rival lions.
Friends of Hwange Trust, which provides water for the park's animals, also said the report appeared to be untrue, and said researchers would be out on Sunday morning 'to lay eyes on him.'
Unprotected, the lionesses and cubs are now under threat and also move away or be killed.
