.I agree. Milton's cauliflower pizza is delicious. We add a lttle more cheese and I always have them in my freezer. Buy them at Costco.

I tried one and didnt care for it at all. Full disclosure, I don't like cauliflower much to begin with. I was overwhelmed by the cauliflower smell of the pizza. Others might not smell it as much, but I seem to be sensitive to the odor. I took a few bites and threw the whole thing away.

@Ms tyrion2, haven't tried cauliflower pizza. But we did try cauliflower "mashed potatoes," if that makes sense. This was back when my husband started to watch his carb intake due to pre-diabetes.

We do like cauliflower, but no, it was not an acceptable substitution for mashed potatoes. We basically just do without potatoes these days (we love yams, though, and they are a lower on the glycemic index).

Hi:  I’m a licensed Diettian. I don’t give professional advice, but, here’s a little tip:  try 1/2 mashed potatoes and 1/2 mashed cauliflower together. My clients suggested mashing the cauliflower very well, and when you combine them,,mash with sour cream and real butter. Yes I know 😉fat content, but I’m assuming this would be an occasional treat.

The other option, if your hubby loves potatoes, they’re a good source of potassium, keep, them,,as an occasional, not a staple, in his diet, and watch portion control.

@QVCkitty1  I have been thinking about cauliflower pizza, but if I was buying it I would have to know the ingredients first. I'm pretty much a whole foods person, so i might have to make it from scratch. I like the idea, though.

@PA Mom-mom Check out the organic section of your supermarket.  Our's has a frozen caulifower pizza, all whole foods and it's really good.

I don't care for cauliflower - one of the few vegetables that I don't like.

I do buy the cauliflower frozen pizza crusts for my daughter at Marianos.  She loves them.

I always make mine from scratch since I eat low carb and most of the grocery store ones contain flour or added carbs of some kind.  Homemade is just cauliflower, an egg, some grated cheese.  It's awesome!  I use the Pioneer Woman's recipe from Foodnetwork and it's foolproof. You can top it with anything you like. I prefer pepperoni and cheese  Yum.

Re: Cauliflower Pizza

@QVCkitty1   DH & I discovered a brand called "Cali-Flour", two to a box, not at all pricey.

WOW - IS THIS GOOD OR WHAT????????????????

They make 3 different flavors, our's was the more italian herb style. One is spicy, the other is plain.

These are the ones to buy hands down.

@PINKdogWOOD , In my area there isn’t much selection and Calipower is the first I’ve tried. I will look for different brands , but I don’t hold out much hope for a selection.
