Idk why this worked, but I turned off my laptop and rebooted. I'm currently able to post pics again.

I have never been able to copy paste photos here. I have to screenshot the picture, send it to my photos and the press the landscape icon for photos, 9th from the right on top of a post, select one of my photos, and then press insert photo, wait for it to load, every time.

Yeah, I don't get this. It's two extra clicks. 

I see a lot of requests here for computer 101 type support. There's a computer education system called Lynda. Your local library most likely has access.  With a library card, you can log in from home.

But would it not be even more clicks to delete the photos from your hard drive where they are taking up memory space when you no longer need them?

Nope, just tried copy and paste again from the online Pottery Barn catalog and it can not paste. No big deal.

Take a screenshot of the photo and crop it and it should allow you to upload @Desert Lily

there is a free app I use called "image size"

Just download the photo to your device, then go to app and choose the picture, it will automatically resize it and put the extension (jpeg) on it. Then you can post the photo here.
