Can No Longer Post Pictures

Twice now I've tried to upload pictures in threads I wanted to start here, but I'm unable to upload any pictures to this site. I had images from Pottery Barn, Sundance, Anthropologie, etc. that I could not upload here.

I tried changing browsers, and it made no difference. An error message comes up that says it's not a jpeg, GIF, etc.

I've always been able to "copy image" and then insert the picture "from another website" without a problem...until this week & likely following some updates.

I like posting Home and Fashion items sometimes, but I'm not willing to now have to save the pictures to my computer and then upload them from there - too much wasted time.

Have my computer "updates" caused this? Is there a change in this site or picture uploading?

Does anyone have an idea about what's going on, or what else I can do conveniently to upload pictures?

I just do copy/paste for my photos on this site. Some you have to click on first if they are in a group then right click mouse for copy and put cursor in your post box and right click paste. Give it try instead of all the upload stuff.

I've run into that occasionally too.

It does seem to happen more often lately, but it doesn't happen with every photo I try since I still can post some.

Images from retailer sites are often now "webp" images which are not supported on many, many sites, including these forums. You can verify the details of an image before you attempt to download it, and won't be surprised and disappointed.

@Desert Lily. I've never ever copied and pasted photos. I click on the "landscape" icon above, choose my photo from my gallery of photos, insert it and post. Just takes seconds. Zip, zip, zip.

Is the file too big? I run into that quite often and then have to edit/re-size the photo.

I don't have picture-posting problems, but I use the approach that you call a waste of time; I save the pictures to my computer and then upload them from there.
