Monday, Aug. 28, we received an inch of rain here in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico. It was monsoon moisture that created a storm in the heat of the day out of the blue. Unfortunately, the burn scar had flooding, and a main travel artery was closed for a while. It has just reopened.
I hope everyone gets some much needed rain today. Chances look to be declining Wednesday through the holiday weekend. It looks like this season will be recorded as disappointing.
