Re: Call blocker- recent TSV

I don't have the QVC blocker but got new landline phone with 5 handsets, it has a button to block calls then it says do you want to block this call press yes. It took about 2 months to block all those calls and I love it. Directions said sometimes it will ring once Today we got 2 calls about voting (recorded voice) it really makes a huge difference. I really think I am up to 80 blocked calls I didn't know we can do 250 calls to block. I never answer any call unless I see caller ID & know who it is. We do have cell phones, my husband uses his cell for everything, he gets strange calls on that too. Before all of this I had to call a number then block the last caller big huge problem now just 2 clicks & blocked. It does take about a good 2 months to block all of this then every now & then you get another one to block. It does make life easier.

I got a call the other night at 11:05 pm!!! She was of India descent and when I yelled at her, she hung up. I screamed "do you know what time it is?" And of course you're gonna answer the phone no matter the number if someone calls after 11:00, thinking it's a family emergency. Waiting for my blocker, hope I'm happy with it!!!!

Re: Call blocker- recent TSV

I am afraid this gadget doesn't work for me.  It seems to have blocked everyone; my friends and all.   I just got a frantic e-mail from a friend saying "your number doesn't work plus I knocked on your door and there was no answer (I was out this afternoon).   So I unplugged it and my phone works again as usual.

Will return it; there seems to be something wrong with it.

That's a drag and a hassle.  Smiley Sad   These days, phones come with a 'block' button right on them, so each handset you have has the ability to block.   I don't see the need for these unless people have older phones that don't have that button.

But I wonder if it was just some weird setting it had.

Sounds like U don't have it hooked up in the right hole.

You only have 2 choices.....Tel hole and Line hole. Experiment with switching the phone jack from hole to hole. Call yourself from your own

cellphone or call a sister and tell them to call you, etc.

Have somebody else to read the directions and hook it up for you.

Re: Call blocker- recent TSV

@SharkE  I have tried all those things.  After disconnecting the gadget, the phone works for local calls outgoing as well as incoming calls.

However, I was just trying to call my sister in Germany and this message came on about having to provide my billing information first.  I then manually put the number in and it still gives that info.  I don't even know what that message means.

Well, all I can say is that it sure messed me up.

Well,  I never called anyone out of the U.S. you got me there.

But calling out wouldn't have nothing to do with Call Blocker.

May have to get a pigeon
