True but she also said people tie them up in yards to keep intruders away. Or they use that as an excuse but imho some people put them outside instead of learning how to train them.

Some dogs, such as the Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky, have thick, dense undercoats that help keep them warm in cold temps.

I mean, the names alone (SIBERIAN and ALASKAN) suggests that they were built for the cold.

Siberia and Alaska aren't exactly tropical places.

That's not to say that they can't be brought in.

Short haired dogs should never be left in the cold.
