192000 on a 2005 Prius when we traded it for a Prius V (55000 in 15 mth). No problems or major repairs on either car. Love Prius!

"07 Chevrolet Silverado PU truck 205,000 This is one of business trucks. The others have less mileage.

All of our vehicles that end up with high mileage have used synthetic oil.

Oh an update: DH says we have 213,000 miles on our 1997 Toyota 4runner....still running strong!

I bought a used Z71 Chevy truck in 2009 with 152,000 miles. That's the most mileage I ever had on a car or truck but they were all highway miles. Fast forward to 2014 I have 155,000 miles on my truck. I only fill up twice a year.

Can you tell I hate to drive. I figure in 10 years I might have low mileage on my truck at this rate.

My Civic had over 150,000 miles when I traded it in, and it was still running well. I never had to do any major repairs on it in the 13 years I had it...just oil changes and replacing brake pads and stuff like that. I wish I still had it. It was totally not worth the $500 I got trading it in to part with it!!!

I am the original owner of my 1992 Toyota Corolla. My odometer does not work and is stuck at 92,000 miles. I estimate it has around 100,000 miles on it. I have had a problem with alternators, probably have replaced it 3 times, the brakes twice, and I remember a radiator problem at one time - can't remember the details. All is all it has been a good car.

There's a lot more to a car than an odometer.

How much money did you have to put into these cars? What kind of repairs?

I can't imagine that someone got 275,000 miles on one car with nothing but oil changes.

Um, no...you would still need to change brake pads, replace worn tires and do any other maintenance that any working vehicle requires. If you have to have major work done on a vehicle less than 10 years/100,000 miles old that hasn't been in an accident or mistreated, you may have bought a lemon.

I had my Civic for 13 years (it was 2 years old when I got it). It had over 150,000 miles on it when I traded it in. In other words, I traded in a 15-year-old car that had 150,000+ miles on it and got $500 for it, because it still ran like a well-oiled machine....and I regret trading it in. That car was awesome. I paid the car off in 5 years...then I had 8 years without car payments!!!

I hope I will be able to afford a Civic the next time I shop for a car. I would love to have another Civic.
