I don't accept ANYTHING on the internet at face value.  I take everything with a grain of salt when it comes to the internet.

@Bri36 I agree. This thread isn't about not revealing gender.  It's about revealing a false gender.  Perhaps you should go back and re-read this thread because you are the one bringing up the issue of not revealing a gender.  That's perfectly find and not misleading or lying.  Claiming to be a gender a person isn't is misleading people and lying.  Big difference.  Can we get off the not revealing gender now? It's not relevant to this thread,. You have read things into my posts that aren't even there.

So you think there are people here who are lying about their gender?   And that matters to you how?   They shouldn't buy Logo?

It's the internet.   People lie

I guess I have never really thought about it. Unless they say otherwise I do usually think of most here as women just because this board would seem to appeal most to women because of the topics. Not to say there aren't men who wouldn't be interested in some of the topics but IMO just more women would be interested.

As I say, sometimes someone trying to come across as the opposite gender fails so badly at it that it's comical.  He or she is attempting to hide his or her true identity and completely failing at it.     I feel like posting "the gig is up."

You have to be kidding.  Does it really matter as long as he/she/it posts in the correct category?

How does that work?

Women use more commas?

Writing style and punctuation do not give away anyone's gender.   Lol

I'm sure there are a lot of men that post here that haven't revealed their gender.  It doesn't matter to me.

I don't mind at all if someone chooses not to reveal gender, but when someone claims to be something he or she isn't....I find that troublesome on many levels.  Why believe anything that person posts then?

@Pearlee...interesting thread.  I really don't care if a person reveals their gender or not and I really do not try and figure out if a poster is telling the truth about things or not.

I'm here to have fun and cause a little mischief....lol.

@shell garden  Now you are also, like @Bri36, completely misinterpreting the point of this thread.   I don't care either whether someone reveals his or her gender.  It's trying to come across as the opposite gender from his / her true one that is the issue.  Not whether gender is revealed!

Lying /misleading others is just wrong. So lying/misleading about one's gender is the problem.   Not mentioning it at all is no problem.

Yes, it is right.  Gender identity is in the brain,  not the package.
