Anonymous, your sandwich sounds terrific. Love the touch of horseradish. Even better for me without the meat. I've been putting slices of bread & butter pickles on sandwiches lately to great reviews at home. My husband could eat sandwiches four nites a week.

My Southern mom used to make mayo and banana slices on white bread and mayo and tomato with pepper sprinkled sandwiches. Oh, and good 'ol pimento cheese sandwiches. Good memories

I don’t really have a favorite but one I really like for a treat is Jimmy John’s Lulu Club Unwich. It is a turkey breast club in a lettuce wrap.

I am not a sandwich person, now that the foods I eat are different than 15 years ago.

but if Avocado toast is a sammie, then thats it.  I vary it up.  Sometimes I put an over easy egg on it with a slice of tomato.

when I ate meat I used to love meatloaf sandwiches, and a pastrami sandwich made on  italian garlic bread with melted provolone cheese. There is omething about the fresh toasted garlib bread when you make some sandwiches!!!  Tri tip or steak sandwich is killer on good italian french bread, made into galic bread

Besides a well made Reuben, I love grilled chicken breast on Italian bread with havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, sliced red onion, a little mayo and pesto, lightly grilled.

Toasted white bread with lettuce, tomato, cheese and lots of mayo.

Simple and good.
