She was one of a kind. I never saw her as a newscaster, but I enjoyed her many interviews. I also never saw her on The View. I was never home to watch it. Now I imagine it's far from the discussion show Barbara started.

Two icons - both in their 90's, and both leaving us at the end of the year. Betty White died a year ago tomorrow.

Two major losses in TV history.

Channel 7 is doing a big tribute to her.  I always liked her and the View of years ago.  May she rest in piece.

She loved her dog cha cha and always spoke with a lot of love for it.

Hopefully they are together over the Rainbow Bridge.

Y'know.   "The View" just finished celebrating their 25th year!

Off the top of my head, I cant think of any woman, who put together a show that lasted for a min of 25 yrs.

She did a lot for women, without even necessarily being deemed "for the cause.".

She "broke ground."

Barbara Walters, an intelligent knowledgeable news woman, her interviews famous and so well done.  As someone who once wanted to be a journalist, I always admired Barbara and what she accomplished in her career.  Her legacy will live on.  May she be at peace with God.

A trailblazer whose guts and brio made so much possible for the female journalists who followed her.

How well I remember how Harry Reasoner loathed having her as his co-anchor.  In the end, whose footprint was larger and more influential?
