Yes, for some things. I do have a weak spot and I do get attached to some items.

It has taken some time for me to get rid of all of the unnecessary STUFF, but I am almost there. I've saved a few special pictures/portraits of my grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, etc. No more than one or two from each. I also have several old photos of the extended family back in "the old country." Several are 100 years old.

It all fits into a shoebox (except the couple of larger pics that are framed.) That's it. I got rid of old letters, cards, etc. I looked at them each one more time, and then that was enough.

I agree with you. It works for me, may not work for everyone else. I just don't want to deal with all that STUFF someday, and I don't want anyone else dealing with it, either.

I am, but my daughter is not. Maybe she will get more so the older she gets. I have at least three storage tubs of her school things all the way through college. She would just pitch them without a though. I also have all her formal gowns. I will add....she is moving and found a letter I sent her right after she got her first job. (she sent me a pic of it.) I had sent her money to buy a new all-weather coat and went into detail what she should look for. It sounded so funny....now!

Yes. I have keepsake boxes (photo style boxes) that I save things in. Pictures, cards, letters, etc. I have a hard time getting rid of stuff like that.
