Just found this out. Matt says he felt uncomfortable in his own home. If you've watched their reality show, what are your opinions.

They have talked about separating on several shows. Amy seems totally miserable. I say good for them

I started watching this show from the beginning, as I was curious about their dwarfism, and how as little people they lived their lives in a big world. I found the first episodes of the show to be quite interesting, although I felt the entire family was extremely lazy and undisciplined, and no one seemed to pick up after themselves, which is a real quirk of mine. I always saw Matt and Amy as two very different people with the common bond of their children, but as the show went on, their relationship began to noticeably change, and the changes have continued as the kids have graduated and gone off to school, etc. I found the show most interesting back when Matt was trying to market the step stools he designed, and Amy was teaching. Matt's wild ideas about expanding the farm have continued to the point I don't find the show interesting anymore. Matt and Amy don't interest me anymore, and I feel the whole concept of their show has changed. Their separation does not surprise me in the least, as I think the reasons for it have been well documented on the show; they are different, and each want different things. Even their children are acutely aware of the discord between their parents; the older ones seem glad to have lives away from the farm, and Jacob seems to be so uninterested and withdrawn. Their 10 minutes of fame have passed, and even a yearly update on the Roloff's does not interest me.

RedTop ITA. The yearly updates hold no interest to me. Watching that family spiral isn't something I want to do. Hopefully they'll each find a life that brings them some peace and happiness.

ITA.........That house was a filthy mess. Those kids should have been picking up after themselves from an early age. A lot of dysfunction in that family right from the start. I stopped watching a long time ago. JMO

I found him to be rigid and a control freak. Stopped watching.

The separation should be a positive for both of them. Clearly, they were not happy together and it made for tension even over the airwaves.

I read on the web that he had developed a drinking problem at about the time that the boys were graduating. Then he was arrested for DUI. That seemed to be the beginning of the end.

I remember watching the earlier episodes, and liked the show. Once the kids moved on, their relationship issues surfaced.
