I'm in NW Indiana.  Indy will have four minutes of totality.  We'll get around 95%.  That's good enough for me.  The interstate traffic and other routes south to Indy yesterday and today have been bumper to bumper, and a crawl, if that.  Those people are all going to be sorely disappointed because at this point they're not going to make it in time.  We'll be going outside shortly, to watch from our yard 12:51-2:09 PM Central.

OK...we went outside, we watched our 95% totality, we came back inside. 🤷‍♀️ It was an event.  We likely won't be around for the next one.

For 95% coverage, even though it was dimmer outdoors, as expected, I was surprised at how light it remained.  A neighbor has a bunch if Guinea Hens, they were squawking a lot.

Eastern PA here again. We just passed our darkest moment, and it was pretty much like when it's getting ready to thunderstorm. The birds did stop feeding and retreated to their nests and trees. But, we still have clouds, so not a great show.

ETA: DS sent this earlier when the clouds parted:

I'm in coastal MA where it is 85%.  It's dark now.  I'm sitting in my living room in the near dark just experiencing this.

Re: Are You Seeing the Eclipse?

I am here in Southern Illinois where the eclipse was 100%     It was an amazing sight to behold!     It was so dark that my prescription glasses fell from the neck of my sweater and of course I stepped on them.  (lens popped right back in)  Could not see anything for a few moments it was so dark.   You could hear cheering all over town at the moment of complete eclipse.   Lots of out of town visitors for the event.   Very exciting.   Grateful that I was able to be part of such a beautiful experience!

@beckyb1012

Were there a lot of people standing on the square watching the eclipse? We saw it from the parking lot of Dr dehaven's office. There are lots of trees around his office and parking lot so it was really a nice backdrop for the eclipse.

In Arkansas,right in the path, it was amazing!! Sky was clear. I will have to say I wasn't excited about it, I didn't care, but now glad I witnessed it.
