Re: What will you be in no hurry to get back to?

Some of us have had more to miss than others.  I feel like life all around me is diminished.  I feel like we are more constricted than we have ever been and I do not think that will change.

I think I'm sort of happier in more isolation now than I would have been before.  I have no more desire to travel ever, and I used to love it.

This pandemic has been tragic for so many, so I'm glad we see a light at the end of a long ,dark tunnel .  I will say as an introvert it has effected me less than it has some, but I'm glad we are near the end.

I don't look forward to the lines at the grocery stores versus sending an electronic order and either picking it up or having it delivered.

I don't look forward to so many in-house doctor visits whereby we have been doing many telecons for Safety sake.  Those phone conversations were quite wonderful for me, as well as gas-saving.  Now that gas prices are much higher, I wish we could have the phone conversations although I know it is very harmful to many patients not to be seen in situ.

Many caregivers do not have the wherewithal to care for patients and recognize symptoms that HAVE to be seen.  That has put many, especially the elderly and the indigent, at great risks.  I expect many people in this covid-induced past year have died as a result of not being seen and not having much-needed procedures when needed.

Re: What will you be in no hurry to get back to?

i used to go out a lot. clothes shopping, dining out, grocery shopping, get togethers, etc. when lockdown happened, i just fell right into it. like it happened seamlessly and it was no big deal. i loved the idea of staying home and simply shopping online, or sending my husband out to get whatever we needed, and ordering take out. i'm loving it and so used to it, that i may never go back to my old habits. it works for me, so i think i'll stick with it.

I could continue with less of the unwanted conviviality that comes

sometimes with work, friends of friends, etc.

Sheltering has been a good reason to avoid these things.

Nothing.  Not much has changed for me because of the pandemic.  Everything is almost the same except I wear a mask when I leave the house.

The traffic is just as hectic and the lines in the stores are as long as they have always been.  I still see my children and grands, just not my extended family.

I have always been a homebody and prefer to hang out around the house.  We have been going to our Lake Place during the summer, the same as usual and hanging out on our boat or deck.

I do miss my friend who is in long term care.  I used to visit her 3 to 4 times a week and my last visit was on 3-13-20...almost a full year now.  She was in the hospital for a week this summer and the hospital allowed me to be with her, which was nice.

I spoke to her on the phone this week for about a minute...she had to go because bingo was on the agenda.  She never played bingo before.  I am happy she is doing some social things, but she is very much institutionalized now and this is sad.  She is not the same person at all.

Honestly, my life never really changed that much pre pandemic to post pandemic, I have done less shopping in store, but other than that, and wearing a mask,  I am pretty much just a home body and nothing else changed.

I will continue to wear a mask until the CDC says it is safe not too. I have had my two vaccine shots and feel much safer now.

I'm in the same situation as @SeaMaiden .  I didn't go much before due to physical restrictions so my life hasn't changed that much.  Its more about looking forward to doing a few things like flying.  It has been 7 or  8 years since I've seen my sister, although we talk all the time.

Re: What will you be in no hurry to get back to?

I have to be honest, I missed my 6 month cleaning in September and am too afraid to go this month although I'm scheduled.

I had a phobia about the dentist before the pandemic.  Something crazy.  But couldn't stand the way they put those things in your mouth for xrays and then walk out and hit the switch.  So now I'm hoping they wipe that on/off switch in between patients.

Just the fact that they are in your mouth now really scares me.

I've never been afraid of the dentist, but now I'm scared of the dentist.  And I love my teeth.Woman Indifferent
