@ECBG , thanks for that suggestion.  I'd totally forgotten my dermatologist recommended the aqua glycolic cleanser probably 20 years ago.  Do you just let it set on your face while showering and then rinse?

MAYBE........

If the mask has the color red anywhere on it, it could be the red dye.  My tattoo artist told me a lot of people are allergic to red ink and dye. They do not know it till they get a tattoo or wear something on their face that has red ink or dye.

I had some mask skin issues. Purity cleanser from Philosophy helped me.

Re: Anyone Else Getting “Mask Rash”?

My cloth masks are so hot I think that is what caused my rash...Little air getting in or out. I switched to disposable and that has helped. I also wash my face as soon as ai get home, along with my hands. Don’t have the rash any longer...I also am not putting any makeup on my face, just eye makeup since I have to have a mask on to go inside anywhere ( that is very few places). Keeping face clean and without makeup I think has been the best fix.

[ Edited ]

I've been getting really bad lines on my cheek bone area like pillow creases but on steroids probably because I'm so worried about gaps along the edges, I wear my mask really tight.  I've experimented with a lot of different moisturizers too and only recently discovered one that helps immensely and that is the one I can't stand the smell of, it's from It Cosmetics....sorry I don't remember the name but it's in the beige/yellow jar.  Anyway, when I use that under my mask, the lines are fairly light and then disappear pretty quickly...so that's the one I will use each time I wear one.  The strange thing is I have a huge selection of moisturizers and anti aging and anti wrinkle creams from Peter Thomas Roth and from Strivectin.  I was shocked that those didn't work for me.  I also have Josie Maran's Face Butter as well as her Milk and Argan Oil.  So, it came as a total shock to me that what worked was It Cosmetics anti aging stuff sorry can't remember the name in that beigey/yellow jar.  It's the winner I guess.  How weird is that! Smiley Indifferent

Re: Anyone Else Getting “Mask Rash”?

I had been getting a rash- not acne around my mouth.  I wore no foundation.  I put on my moisturizer with sunscreen all over my face and Destin diaper cream around my mouth.  That helped a lot but what made it completely go away was when I started using Smart Mouth mouthwash that contains zinc and it completely eliminates bacteria in the mouth for  12 hours.  My rash is now completely gone.

@nikkisaunt1   I agree.  Thankfully, I don't get any skin issues wearing my mask, and I wear one every day, even to just walk my dog.  I use Purity to wash my face, so I also hand-wash all of my masks in Purity as well.

It's the same theory I have for washing my makeup brushes (which haven't been in much use lately).  I always wash my makeup brushes in Purity, not some brush cleaner or brush spray.
