90% of the few people who post here.  Under the old forum we could see how many users were logged on.  There are very few people here anymore.

Agree. It's a matter of cost and resources. There is a tight contingent who use the forum, but it is a fraction of the people who use more "public" social media.

There are at least 4 mods here who need to be available early, late and at holiday time. I'm sure they have other tasks and are called to moderate when they've been notified of a reported post.

I'm sure there are dozens of reported posts daily, especially during Covid, since we couldn't talk about Covid, but still tried.

This site is probably a losing proposition for the company in every way.
