@FatCatinCT @ That's me, too. Not a frequent contributor but I enjoy the forum. I won't be joining the FB group, too public. It's been a nice place to go to and I think Q is making a BIG mistake. I'm going to cancel my Q card and move on. It's been fun!

One ? If I joined the QVC page on Facebook, all you would need to trace me is my real name? You could see my friends, family posts of my son's wedding and photos of my grandson? No way, no how.

@Melzie  Your post reminded me of the song "Anatevka" from Fiddler on the Roof:

      A little bit of this,

      A little bit of that.

      A pot, a pan, a broom, a hat.

      A bench, a tree,

      A stick of wood,

      A piece of cloth.

      What do we leave?

       Nothing much.

       Only Anatevka.

       Anatevka, Anatevka,

       Underfed, overworked Anatevka.

Where else could Sabbath be so sweet?

       Anatevka, Anatevka,

       Intimate, obstinate Anatevka,

Where I know everyone I meet.

Soon I'll be a stranger in a strange new place,

Searching for an old familiar face

       From Anatevka.

       I belong in Anatevka,

       Tumble-down, work-a-day Anatevka,

Dear little village, little town of mine.

It won't be the same, and it looks like 90% are against FB 😒

I'll give it a shot. I've been on FB for years, so it's not a big deal.

I'm concerned about a half dozen people I've "known" for over a decade. They aren't online a lot and was hoping to be able to connect with them before November. I coyly left clues to my contact info, but my post was deleted. I believe it was reported, which makes me feel less sad about the forum's demise.

Thinking maybe at the 11th hour I'll out myself and let the chips fall where they may.

@JamandBread  I don't think anyone reported your Post. The Moderators are on the lookout even though  it's not fair. The Boards are closing so they shouldn't prevent this. If you use an email address make sure it's not your personal email. I didn't see your Post but from what you said, I know what's it about.

The rules claim you can't legitimately do that? Something about having 2 accounts? I would hate to lose privileges to post on my real account @Sage04

That's true but so many people have more than one account including me.  Some also have a personal and business accounts.

I know someone who edited her name because of an ex. She took down her profile picture. In her case she didn't have any family pictures so it was easier for her to do it.

@Trinity11 There are several things I have done in my Facebook privacy settings to be able to post outside of my friend list and protect my privacy. I have my Facebook account set to not allow access to the public. The only people that can see my page are those in my friends list. You cannot search my name and find me on Facebook either. I can still post on public pages, like the QVC Facebook group, but all that is available for others to see is my name and the comment. In addition, I have my profile information blank to further protect my privacy. People on my friends list already know where I live, work, etc. so I feel no need to put it in the profile. The one drawback to this amount of security is that legitimate requests from people are blocked. I sometimes have to adjust my settings for a short window of time so someone can send me a friend request, but it's worth the hassle to keep my account private. Even if you decide not to join the QVC Facebook group, I hope this is helpful.

I have enjoyed posting with you and reading your comments. So many great people who's screen name I always read, and you are one of them.

90% of the few people who post here.  Under the old forum we could see how many users were logged on.  There are very few people here anymore.

The QVC Group has 19.1k

I think those numbers speak for themselves.

Thank you @SunValley . I have enjoyed your posts as well.🌺💐🌺 My kids are tech savvy. When I see them again, I will ask them about privacy settings. I know my son has his Insta private as do all my friends. Facebook, too, but often times someone comes on and posts a slew of photos. My son's wedding a couple of weeks ago for example. A friend of a friend posted videos of me dancing ..LOL that was a treat..NOT.🤪
