I'm one of the few that hasn't liked it enough to pay for it. My son has a six month college Prime offer and every TV show I missed isn't included so I have to pay for those. Same with movies. I haven't ordered enough to justify the expense, once his Prime ends, to continue it.

I love it. I ordered an electric shaver yesterday and it arrived in today's mail!
i order items that are eligible for prime and have more than made up for the annual
fee. Not to mention the free e- books and Prime video. Most items arrive within 2 days.

@SeaMaiden, etc., I see nobody has mentioned Amazon Smile. If you join Prime go through Amazon Smile. I don't remember if the membership counts, but almost all of your orders will.
For every order you place through Amazon Smile, Amazon donates a very small percentage of the total to the charity of your choice -- and that money really adds up. It costs the customer nothing. The price would be the same with or without that donation. I love it.

A couple of days ago when I logged in to my Prime account, there was a summary of my savings on shipping charges for the last year, and the savings more than covered the cost of the membership.
I also have a Amazon Prime Visa, which I signed up for because of the $60 credit and 3% rewards credit on Amazon purchases. They recently raised it to 5%.
My deliveries so far have all been on the day promised, including a few Sundays, and a few were next day deliveries. The one time I had to return something (they sent the wrong item), my account was credited within about 24 hours. I liked that I didn't have to babysit my account to make sure they gave me a refund.
I actually signed up for Amazon for their selection of documentaries, which I like better than Netflix, so the free shipping is just a great bonus for me.

I love Amazon Smile, too. I have it bookmarked, and that's how I always go to Amazon.

@SeaMaiden I've had Prime now going into my second year. I recently switched my preferences to say I want them to ask me next year before automatic renewal. I don't use most of the other Prime benefits and will have to consider carefully whether or not a hundred bucks a year is worth it to me for reasonably fast shipping. I'll add that not all purchases are not Prime eligible and not all Prime purchases have arrived in two days... Increasingly, I also don't find Amazon's prices are always 'deals'... And have grown weary of the 'now you see it - now you don't' pricing and product availability that Amazon seems to have. Don't get me wrong. I like Amazon and I like Prime, but I'll just have consider the value. MOST IMPORTANT... Check Amazon frequently, because when I signed up for Prime, they were offering a 'special' and that first year did NOT cost me $99..

I also enjoy the 5% back benefit of the card! I had forgotten about that.

@Caligurll Where can I find the summary of my savings on shipping charges? I just went into my account to look for it and can't find anything about it. I would be very interested to see it.

@LoriLori Yes, I do Amazon Smile, I donate to the Charleston
animal Society. They are the ones who helped Caitlin the dog (dog who's muzzle was taped shut).
I joined prime primefor the first time last year and I've enjoyed it, fast shipping, but I also like not in the rush shipping. If you choose that, you get a 1.00 credit towards kindle books. I also recently placed my first prime panty order, I got free shipping and free pantry fee (normally 5.99). It was a huge savings on items I would normally get at the grocery stores.
you asked about auto ship... I don't use these but you can buy dash buttons. When you start running low, hit the button and they ship that item to you!!

@NickNack It was a pop up summary the last time I logged in. I just went to look to see if I could find it somewhere but no luck yet. This was the firt time I have had the summary pop up. If I find it I will let you know where it us.
