Re: Amazon Has Raised Its Minimum Order Price

Nick - Here's some more helpful information.  Sorry I didn't think about that before...

Go to 'settings and messages', 'settings', 'channels', then 'my video providers'.

That will show you all the video providers that are supported.   If you check the ones you use they will go in your 'My Shows' page on the bottom.

You get set up the device to match up to your account, like you set up any other device, and you're ready to go.  Just click on 'Amazon Prime' (or whichever one) and it takes you right there.  Smiley Happy

Re: Amazon Has Raised Its Minimum Order Price

Not to harp on Amazon, but when I first started buying, my orders seemed to ship out lickety split.  Last couple of orders dragged on and on, to the point I cancelled one order after waiting nearly a week.  When I tried to cancel another order because they were dragging their feet it was at my house in 2 days.  Usually I order a two-pack of my Cholest Off and a couple bags of my Hagen pigeon food, so making $49 is no sweat.  I don't order from them often and have become accustomed to needing a minimum order of $35, which I tended to exceed.

Re: Amazon Has Raised Its Minimum Order Price

I like Amazon, although, I don't order as much as I use to.  They also started to play games with their add on items.  I find that a bit frustrating so this was the beginning of the end with ordering from Amazon.

Just recently though, I was considering getting their prime membership for the streaming and books.  ....and the free shipping would be a bonus when I do order.

Most all of them seem to be a good buy.  I usually order dog food from Chewy, and they are about the same price as ordering from Amazon.

One of the first things I noticed when they started to push Prime hard a couple of years ago was that my non-Prime free shipping over $35 orders started taking almost twice as long to arrive as they had before the big Prime campaign.  It was pretty standard for me to receive free shipping orders in 2-4 days, but it went to 5-8 days after Prime. So to me, they *stopped* giving me the service I was accustomed to, that they clearly could do, in obvious anticipation that the delays would make me sign up for Prime.  Whereas before everyone got excellent shipping, now the only people who get excellent shipping are those with Prime. So yes, that stings a bit, and still does.

Re: Amazon Has Raised Its Minimum Order Price

Hmmm... This made me think more about my Prime membership too. $99 a year is about $8.75 a month, then about 28 cents a day (in easy pay lingo, lol!). That works for me.

I do place a lot of orders, and like others, get home goods too, some are bulky ones that I can't carry. Prime is almost always on time, very rarely a problem. I also like the 2day timeframe. (Last minute Sally over here!)

Re: Amazon Has Raised Its Minimum Order Price

I've had Prime for years, and except for Christmas time, I really don't place that many orders.  I'm probably not getting my money's worth on the "free" shipping, but it's more the convenience factor for me.  Once I ran around to four stores over two days and couldn't find the refrigerator water filter I needed.  Well, duh on me, I would have already had it if I thought to order it from Amazon.  Don't make those mistakes anymore.  Plus the kids use some of the extras that come with Prime.

I noticed that too @Moonchilde.  It irritated me, too, but I still order from them all the time.  I just checked, and I've placed 8 orders this year.
