Prime Member for years here and as others have stated I never order anything from a third-party vendor.
That said, occasionally I receive items late but only by a day. There's an Amazon Fulfillment Center nearby, about a 1/2 hour drive away in Chelsea so I get things quickly.
Am very happy with Amazon's service.

Hi @Biftu
Did you get your package today? If not, you can go to your order in the website and look at the tracking link. What Amazon does when an order is delayed is give a date by which you should receive your delivery, and if you don't, they will credit your account. This wording should appear right on the website.
When the item that I order states it will be shipped by Amazon, delivery is very reliable, but not always perfect. The other day, one of my deliveries was delayed. I found out from the news that an Amazon truck a few blocks from my home had hit a teenager on a bike. Very sad. I had delivery of my order the next day.
Amazon shipping has missed a few deliveries of liquids. Amazon tells me the item is undeliverable and credits my account. My impression is that the bottles were broken in transit, and Amazon would rather have me make a new order.
When the order is shipped by a third party vendor, and the third party vendor is not a well known entity, I have found delivery to be unreliable. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not.
So maybe you can check the vendor and the shipper and get an idea.
If you get no delivery by the date promised, it should be easy to get reimbursed. You can then do a replacement order. If the vendor is a third party you are unfamiliar with, maybe you don't want to place that order to avoid the uncertainty and the hassle. You can look at the product page and see if there are several vendors, and if Amazon is the shipper, the delivery date should be very accurate.
If the price is good, I always select a vendor that ships via Amazon.
Hope this helps.

I want to clarify that many third party vendors are very good, with good delivery.
But if the price is too good, it is unlikely to be a good delivery situation.

I usually don't have any problems with deliveries from Amazon with my prime acct but I recently ordered a pair of shoes with overnight delivery because I was going to an event that evening. I had a pair of shoes I could wear to the event but while shopping Amazon I saw another pair I liked so I ordered them to wear to the event. My shoes didn't come between 8 and 11 am as promised, they were delivered after 8 the evening of the event after I had left. I ended up sending them back via Kohls Amazon return kiosk.

I am a Prime member and order a lot from Amazon. I don't know if it was mentioned here but if you call to complain, they will issue you a $5 credit, sometimes more.

(Plus I'm tired of third party vendors not fulfilling the order with the described item.)
I will no longer order from third party vendors on Amazon. I also did not get the items I ordered.
I did not receive the items that were described AND I paid 5 times the amount the items cost. I bought 6. AND Walmart filled the order. Walmart was not the market that I originally ordered the items. Not sure how Walmart entered the picture. Guess it was the market in San Francisco's idea.
@drizzellla I order from Amazon often. Early on, I had a few packages that came in Walmart boxes, from where I don't order. I noticed these items were not shipped by Amazon, but by a vendor that was not Amazon. For those who do not know, Amazon has third party sellers in its website, many times offering deals too good to be true, some with absurdly high prices, and some are specialty vendors that want to sell through Amazon (Like Vital Proteins, other well known brands). Some items are for sale by more than one seller, and the customer can choose. The prices offered by different sellers for the same item are often different. Some items sold by third party vendors are shipped by Amazon, others are shipped directly by the vendor.)
My theory is that there are vendors who find cheap items in Walmart, and make them available for sale on Amazon at a mark-up from the Walmart price, order from Walmart when we order, and then ship to us directly from Walmart and and pocket the difference. Just a guess.
I agree completely with your theory.
When I found out Paul Newman's Olive Oil and Vinegar Salad Dressing was discontinued, I looked on Amazon. There were a several vendors still listing it. I bought from a San Francisco Market because they listed 6 bottles. It was a crazy amount but I figured I would never see it again. I was going for it.
Well, a box from Walmart showed up. It contained 6 bottles of Paul Newman's Classic Oil and Vinegar. I could have driven to Walmart and bought it for 75% cheaper than what I paid.
Lesson learned.

I have been a Prime member for many years. We order lots from Amazon. Just once has a package delivery been a day late. A email was sent to notify us. Delivery has been within the 2 days. Many times it has been next day delivery. Amazon deliveries are still the best of any online companies I have used.

I'm a Prime member and have been having tons of trouble getting orders on time. I have 2 orders in the last 5 weeks that never arrived and all but 1 arrived late. I live in a major city, so we have tons of drivers, so that's not the issue. It's becoming really frustrating.

I have had it happen a few times, with subscribe and save items, never a big deal.
