Re: Alex Murdaugh- Next Steps

He’s not going to be popular in prison as he sent some of them there!

Re: Alex Murdaugh- Next Steps

I want to know why his head was shaved.  What does that accomplish?  Is part of "life without parole" also "life without hair"?

I'm not sympathetic to this murderer, but I don't understand why he was forced to have his head shaved.

Re: Alex Murdaugh- Next Steps

Murdaugh inherited a trust from his wealthy father. Trust are usually protected assets and I suspect it was no small amount.

I would imagine a healthy amount of that trust was placed in a retainer fund or trust for attorney fees.

The Murdaughs had three homes and various other smaller properties, to include a couple of small uninhabited islands. To my way of thinking a convenient location for drug transfers. I believe Alex was far more a dealer than a user, but played up talk of out of control addiction to explain away his large checks and payouts to Cousin Eddie.

"Fruit of the Poisonous Tree" is a term used to explain the inadmissiblity of evidence deemed to be considered derived from a tainted source. For example, if evidence is found during a search but permission for the search was not granted, or the person granting permission wasn't authorized to do so, or if a search warrent should have been obtained but wasn't, then items found during the search are tainted and not admissible in court and considered Fruit of the Poisonous Tree.

I imagine Buster is hurting from the deaths of his mother and brother. But that's where my sympathy for him ends. I think he is his father's son and the acorn hasn't fallen too far from the tree. I think he relished in the clout, sway and influence of the family name and has had to face little accountability. I think some in the family were missing a moral fiber. I don't think Buster has clean hands.

I think financial he will be just fine. I imagine he's inherited his mother's estate. If he doesn't already know where Alex has squirreled away his I'll gotten gains I'm certain it will be passed on to him.

@gizmogal, I would think it's part of the process to insure a new inmate has been deloused. Hair grows back.

It seems to be the protocol where he is currently housed. He didn't seem to mind, given the smirk on his face.

@chrystaltree   I agree.  He knew to go to rehab but blew it.  Everyone knows that getting in too deep with pain killers is a recipe for disaster.

Ridiculous.  He was born a psychopath without a soul and without a sense of humanity and that's why he committed those the and atrocities.  Shame, shame on people who are making excuses for him.

Other individual's reasons or opinions, differing from yours! Should not always be seen as the definition of making excuses

Because some seem to strive on always being able to say:  "I was right", does not mean that "others were wrong". Gotta be some reason that *$◇ seem to always see it that way.

@Mimi NY @gizmogal   Exactly. The spread of lice in a prison is bad news. hard to get ride of. Precautions are necessary.
