Alec Baldwin is a know it all blowhard. Especially  for defending Woody Allen-and from his charity Twitter account no less. Gross. Fwiw I had a Lyft driver last year who worked in movies and on Broadway for 20 plus years. She told me things about Alec Baldwin that weren't at all surprising to me.

As far as the more general topic, and not talking about defending pedophiles at all -it's not the "rest of the country" that disagrees with them on other topics. Too broad there.

@Kitty Galore, the Oscar award ceremony has always included political or social commentary. As to your "uh, I wonder why??!!",  I wonder whether some who are now so indignant about any political or social commentary would be so vocal if those commentaries were ones with which they agreed.

Well to answer that I will have to say that it wouldn't happen and hasn't ,  or if it did it was way before I cared about politics ,  maybe when I was 12😏 When it is the other side so to speak nothing is said .... All that is heard is  just crickets .  I do get what your saying,  that one day it will be flipped.  I'm just saying when and if no one will say anything derogatory or mean .  It's pretty much that way IMO

I don't know what this thread is about exactly, but I have to admit that I usually believe an accuser unless their story has flaws and doesn't ring true. There is one out there that is making rape accusations who has been caught in lies consistently and even admitted in court in early proceedings that the rape never happened. There are all kinds of holes in what she has said in the past when her career was flying high and what she has said now. That leaves me to decide which part of her life is to be believed. Rape is a serious accusation, and if the man is innocent, she is ruining his life and his career.Other than that kind of instance, I believe the accusations others have made in instances to which we have been privy. So far a judge has not found her to be credible.

If he has an opinion on whether or not Dylan was coached that is one thing, but IMO to state publicly what his opinion is and calling her a liar is a whole different thing.  I find this disgusting. No one can possibly know the truth with 100% certainty except for the 2 of them and I have even heard of children that were coached that don't even know the truth, only what they were coached. I am not at all saying that this is the case with Dylan, I am just saying I have read this is possible. One thing I do know is that Woody had an affair with his girlfriends adopted daughter who is 35 yrs his junior. That doesn't put him in the best light. That is just a fact. 

I don't look to celebs for diet tips, skin care, or political advice. I cannot take a celeb seriously when they are going on about the environment and what changes we need to make when they are spending weeks on a yacht, which can be about $2,500.00 an hour in gas and $25,000 to fill, or a private plane which average from $415-$2400 and hour for fuel alone. I feel the same about celebs who want gun control and are very vocal about it yet their music videos glamorize gun violence especially to youth who look up to them. 

Celebrities like anyone are allowed to have their own opinions about anything they like and they are allowed to either to be as discreet or public as they choose to. I think if Alec had a brain in his head, he would realize he has no clue what the truth is and to call her a liar or even cast doubt on her story in such a public way makes him look like a heartless piece of trash.
