Why were there real guns and bullets out there in the first place? It sounds like a bunch of no-minds out in the desert playing cowboy. I'm glad the woman supposedly in charge of weapons is also charged.  He probably shouldn't be. The entire thing is a recipe for tragedy.

If you don't like the topic move on. That is a ridiculous question.

There seem to have been so many different factors, more than one chain of custody;   the liability seems "diffuse" to me--  but then, I'm not privy to all the evidence.

There does seem to be carelessness or heedlessness on Alec Baldwin's part.

As much as I am not an admirer of Alec Baldwin ( to say the least), no one should suffer legal consequences simply because their personality is not palatable.  Believe that very strongly.  It is always a desecration of justice when someone who is unpopular, is targeted because of that unpopularity.

Hoping as always that evidence is the determination of guilt.

@Goldengate8361   I'm sorta with your opinion about this.  I just don't understand how others on set wouldn't also be indicted if he is?  Clearly, this was a terrible accident.  I'm just not certain how I feel...

He claims he's innocent because he says he never pulled the trigger.  He lied.  The FBI, etc. could not get the gun to fire without pulling the trigger.

Therefore, case reopened.  That's what I heard today.... just passing it along.

@cheriere ...From Eyewitness News...

"The weapons supervisor on the movie set, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and evidence tampering in the case. Her trial is scheduled to begin in February.

Rust assistant director and safety coordinator David Halls pleaded no contest to unsafe handling of a firearm last March and received a suspended sentence of six months of probation. He agreed to cooperate in the investigation of the shooting."
