At least two film crew members testified before this Grand Jury.  We don't know right now anything about their testimony or what evidence was presented to jurors.

One may have been Sarah Zachry, about whom little has been written or discussed:

New court filings Friday indicate that “Rust” prop master Sarah Zachry has signed an agreement to cooperate with special prosecutors in return for leniency.  Zachry worked closely to secure guns and ammunition on set with Gutierrez-Reed.

Ms. Zachry is scheduled to be a prosecution witness at the trial of Hannah Gutierrez-Reed,  which begins in February.

@MyShadowLove   Thank you so much for this update.  I was unaware of this particular aspect of the case.  Still incredibly heartbreaking and sad for all.

@cheriere ...You are most welcome!...I wasn't aware either of many of the aspects of this case until I saw this thread, so I googled for more information on latest developments.

The Weapons Supervisor (Armorer) was indicted last year and it appears that the evidence tampering charge involves drugs that she tried to dump or pass along...so she may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol on the day of the incident which makes one wonder about who else was under the influence.

She also filed a lawsuit in 2022...so, over the past couple of years, it appears that the investigation into this case never waivered and has been ongoing revealing more and more details.

Jan. 12, 2022: Armorer files lawsuit

The film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, filed a lawsuit alleging that the ammunition boxes supplied by the prop provider "failed to state" that "the contents contained both dummy and live ammunition."

eta:..Also...

"The filings claimed that Baldwin and Guiterrez-Reed failed to correct reckless safety violations in their roles as producer and armorer, respectively, and that Baldwin had his finger inside the trigger and the trigger was pulled -- contradicting his statements saying he never pulled the trigger."

You don't point a gun at someone and then pull the trigger. Going on TV and lying about it shows his true character. Of course, nothing will happen to him, after all--he is the great Alec Baldwin.

Thought it was over.  And no he is not my favorite person but nobody needs to be treated like this.

I believe he is quilty on purpose or by mistake makes no difference.  The prop man who handed him the gun is not the only person that should have checked the gun to see if it was hot .   Alec himself should have been responsible enough to check it as well .  It certainly only takes a few seconds and could save her  life .   Always treat a weapon as being loaded never , ever take it for granted .  You learn that when you apply and train for a gun permit . He was very irresponsible to say the least .   He needs to own up to what he did. This women is gone forever,  her family has to go on without her .

Wasn't it the Grand Jury, not the DA's office, that decided he should be indicted again?

I'm a fan of Alec Baldwin the actor, but if he was negligent, he shouldn't be above the law.

The big question that still remains is how the live ammo got in the gun.

@Linmo   I don't feel we are ever going to know that .  My guess is someone may have had it in for Alec ,  but that's just a guess . Many other possibilities though.   Fact still remains that young women is dead and he pulled the trigger,  case closed.

I recall that there was chatter about the guns also being used for live target practice when crew was bored.

Which meant that the controlled, locked storage was a joke.

Anyone else?

@Still Raining   I had heard that too ,  It would explain the loaded gun,  that it was left with bullets in it .
