Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

In 1979 I was already out of college and working at my first job. I would say it was more circa 1965

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

I was born far too early to have one of these ovens!  When this oven arrived, I had a hubby and two kiddos and used a real life oven.

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

I have my mother's version of an EasyBake oven-it's in my attic, my mom was born in 1922. I never had one-and to date-I still hate to bake!

I live in an apartment in NYC with a typically small kitchen and small stove/oven.  I usually refer to it as "my Easy Bake oven."

[ Edited ]

Just did a search and the Easy Bake Oven in that image is associated with the year 1963, not 1979.

Sadly, I never had one either when I was a child.

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

Santa brought me a knock off version.  It didn't light up, and came with fake cookies!

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

The reference to 1979 is a joke because of how long it took to bake by the heat of a lightbulb 💡

I wasn't interested in one as a kid but I doubt my mother would have let me have one anyway.

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

Easy Bake Ovens were as coveted in the 1960's as the cotton candy  machines .

We all wanted to eat cookies and  cotton candy when ever we wanted.

@Bookplate When we lived in Brooklyn we had a 20 inch stove. When we moved to Westchester we graduated to a 24 inch stove. Finally last year renovated and graduated to a real 30 inch stove
