Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

[ Edited ]

In 1979 I was engaged and we purchased our first home that year.

However Easy Bake Ovens were around way before 1979 and I do remember wishing that I had one when I was young.  I never got one.

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

I had one probably late 60's.  A turquoise one.  Yep cooked brownies and pies on a light bulb.  But we did like them.

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

I remember playing with one probably early 60s. There was also little boxes of cake mix too. Don't remember the color.

My daughter was born in 1979 so I was playing with the real one then 😁

I had one, it was turquoise, loved playing with it.  I had a 'kitchen' in the basement of our house that my uncle built for us...lots of hours in that basement playing 'house'.

I had an Easy Bake as a little girl.  I remember it was so fun watching the goodies cook.

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

When I was young, I wanted an Easy Bake oven.  My best friend had one, but I was not allowed because we had a "real" oven in our home that I could use.

We had a gas stove and oven.  I remember making cakes when I was about seven years old by myself.  I was afraid to light a match and hold the flame near a little hole in the gas oven to light it, so I used a piece of spaghetti and lit it on the stove and held the flame near the hole while turning on the gas to light the oven.

I can't believe I was allowed to do that.  We lived in a quiet neighborhood with very little, traffic and I was wasn't allowed to cross the street, but could light the oven.  Go figure.

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER THIS ONE?

In 1979 I was already out of college and working at my first job. I would say it was more circa 1965
