last night i was watching THE SIXTIES on cnn. they had one entire segment devoted to those events prior to and immediately following the president being shot and killed. i also  watched the episode where they were featuring the period of time of 1968 when there was an election going on and mlk and bobby kennedy were assassinated.

 

it was so very sad, but very fascinating to hear and see the press and the bystanders talk about what they saw and how they felt.

I heard a little bit here and there.  I think it was CNN that had a segment with the granddaughter of Zapruder, the gentleman who happened to be filming when it happened.
