If it was nap time, I would pull out a book because they weren't heavy sleepers.
Nap time is good. My oldest child was always soothed by a car ride when he was colic-y. Good times. LOL
Edita, you're too funny.

Never, never, never. I raised three kids (sometimes as a single mom), worked full time, ran kids to day care, blah, blah, blah. I will get blasted for saying this, but I do not believe for one New York minute that a parent can "forget" their child in a car. The only "excuse", I use the term loosely, is if they were high on drugs or suffer a mental illness. I'm not saying people don't leave children for 10 minutes while running into a store falls into the same category, but I've never done that either. My children were always in the forefront of my mind no matter what was going on. The youngest is in his 30's and the older ones are in their 40's.

Never!

No I never have and always wonder how it could happen. I stumbled across this article about why kids get left in cars this week and found it sad and interesting.
Don't know why the link in qvc's program won't work. But if you want to look up Washington Post-fatal distraction forgetting a child is a horrifying mistake or a crime?

Never ever.

No, never. I am aware, however, that some medications, medical conditions, and mental problems can and do give people lack of concentration and extreme forgetfulness. I also believe there could be a slight possibility that these people were researching this kind of death because they were concerned about leaving their child too long in a car....which, to me says they might have been guilty of doing this before. I don't believe a child should ever be left alone for any reason in a car so I would definitely see that as neglect or abuse. Sometimes things are not as they appear. I too am suspicious of their actions but suspicions prove nothing so I am withholding judgment till I know more.

If you think leaving a child alone in a car, intentionally or forgotten, is rare read THIS eye-opener.
