My 55th wedding anniversary. My granddaughter starting her freshman year at college. Maybe some home improvements.

I am both looking forward to and dreading looking for a dress for my son's wedding in September. I figure I better start looking in August. From what I hear, the stores are full of back stock and aren't getting their regular deliveries.

August is my favorite month. My childhood family took our vacations in August. (That was when school didn't start before September.) The variety of watermelons that we plant get ripe in August. I have had many days I chose to eat nothing but watermelon. Three family members had their birthdays in August.

In my adult life, I was married in August, continue to vacation in August, and still eat lots and lots of watermelon. I am looking forward to enjoying every single day to the max.

Getting things boxed up to donate in the house so we can do the same in the garage in September and October. And getting the old shed cleaned out to get a new one.

My birthday's in August so I'm looking forward to celebrating another year. I will be treating myself to my favorite sweets: cherry pie and Hershey kisses. I haven't had either since Easter as I'm trying to cut back on desserts and candy.

I'm supposed to go on a trip with my 2 sisters in August, but one has back issues right now. That along with the Delta variant may change our plans.

I'm having my cataracts removed! First surgery is the 3rd. Other eye will be taken care of on the 24th. I am so excited at the prospect of being able to drive at night or in the rain again, to be able to see the stars and moon instead of just glowing globs and to once again see my white Christmas lights instead of them being yellow Christmas lights.
