For me - I'm having some old family videos digitized (finally).

@ThinkingOutLoud   Do you mind my asking who you are using for that.  I have everything from Super 8 reels to Beta Videos, I would be crushed if anything happened to them.

It's a local resource I just heard about but I'm sure google will have some options you could look into.

I am looking forward to cooler temperatures. I live in Southern California and every year it just seems to get hotter and hotter. I replaced my AC system last week (Oh Joy for that expense) but you can't live in the desert and not have AC.

I almost stroked out on my Electric bill when I saw the amount that I have to pay this month.

August is our hottest month. It can't be over soon enough for me, but our 33rd wedding anniversary is late August along with three family member birthdays, so lots to celebrate the last week of August, or the week before Labor Day. Am already anxious for fall to get here.

August is my favorite month. Because my birthday is on the 14th!

I don't celebrate in any big or particular way, but it's always a happy day for me, even if I'm alone, even if it rains, even if I'm really starting to feel old!

To all August birthday celebrants:  be happy, stay well!

I grew up on Long Island back in the 50s/60s.  Loved the beach in the summer, especially as a teen.  Loved it even more in the winter though!  Walking the beach in winter, without crowds, the wonderful sounds of the crashing waves was amazing.  The beach in winter is really the only thing I miss since moving to Ohio.
