I can't stand holding a book anymore (hardcover).

It really makes my hand hurt.

No, not at all. It's given me the freedom to take lots of books with me when I travel, without having to pack them. I still prefer to hold an actual book, but I'm delighted with my Kindle and can't imagine not having it.

I agree; I have had Kindles/Fires for 12 years.  Love ease of holding them, no books to dust/store, travelling light etc.

My kindle is my best purchase ever. I have a cover for it so it is like a very small, lightweight. book. I love to read in bed, and it is easier with the kindle. Also if I have trouble sleeping, I can order a new book right on the device and have it in less than a minute. Can you tell I’m a fan ?

@FrostyBabe1That's me all the way, especially now that my libraries offer almost everything free.   I don't mind paying for non-fiction I might actually read more than once but most one-and-done books I want to read I can find free.

I could not agree more.  Unless it's a book I want to keep -- I only read on my iPad now. I love being able to read without needing a light if my husband falls asleep before I do.  I love not having a million books that I have to either find a place for or donate.  I love being able to take a bunch of books with me when we travel.  I love everything about it!

I still prefer reading actual books & magazines. It’s just more comforting an experience for me.My 27 year old son prefers reading this way too. He’s in law school & pays extra for his textbooks. He could get the online version for half the price but says he likes having the actual book in his hands.

I prefer reading a book.  My old Nook tablet died and I know I'll miss it when I travel.  I have to think about replacing it.

I usually prop the book on a pillow in my lap.  I use the public library often.

Have never had a Kindle or Nook and have no plans to get one.  We travel a lot and I just like having a couple of paperbacks and as I finish them, leave them wherever.  Not a problem for me.  I support and contribute to my local library which I love!

I love a real book and how it feels in your hands and seeing the cover. However I love my Kindle and that is all I read on since they have started making the fonts so small in real books. Even with bifocals the print is to small for me. I can pick the size of font on my Kindle. It is also wonderful to be able to get a new read anywhere you are in just a matter of minutes.
