She's a popular British mystery writer. Her books are:
The Women in Cabin 10
In A Dark, Dark Wood
The Lying Game
Her new book is The Death of Mrs Westaway.
I've never read her. Is she worth the read?

@songbird I just finished reading The Death of Mrs. Westway - did not think it was my kind of thing but after a few chapters got right into it. I enjoyed it much to my surprise. This is a family involved mystery - I normally read thrillers, murder mysteries, detectives but am now planning on reading more of Ruth Ware. Give it a try I enjoyed it very much.

@songbird, In A Dark, Dark Wood was good. I found The Woman in Cabin 10 to be suspenseful but not a lot of substance. The first book was definitely better. Some times I am in the mood for a book that I can speed read and that doesn’t require full concentration. This is the time for Ruth Ware for me. HTH. LM

I read The Woman in Cabin 10 . It was fair. I couldn't relate to the characters and didn't feel too much for them. I love thrillers and mysteries but this one was not a winner in my opinion. My girlfriend belongs to a book club and she felt the same way.
When I am reading a book I enjoy very much, I can't wait to read it and it holds my interest clear through. The Woman In Cabin 10 didn't do that for me.

Mysteries are my favorite genre, especially by British authors. Tried to read her books and never got very far.

Never read the first one, but was majorly disappointed in Cabin 10 - loved the premise of the first half, but found the 2nd half lazy. As if the author didn’t know how to finish the great story she started.
I personally liked the last two. If you listen to Audible, the narrator from Westaway was incredible and possibly positively influenced my review.
the Death of Mrs. Westaway has good reviews. That's why I looked at her other books. I have that book on hold at my local library. the premise of the story looks promising. the main character is a fake fortune teller who might have inherited a house from the death of this Westaway person.

I have read In A Dark Dark Wood, and The Woman in Cabin 10, and both were good. Not the best I have ever read, but kept and held my interest. I have heard that The Death of Mrs. Calloway is her best thus far, but haven't read it yet, but plan to!

Just finished "The Death of Mrs.Westaway." I enjoyed it much more than "The Woman in Cabin Ten." Plot is complicated, but mostly all resolved in the end. It's not a classic, but I think it would be worth your time to read, if you enjoy family mysteries.
