Hi everyone, it has come to my attention that there are some people here who find those large photos (I don't know what you call them but they're photos with different sayings) that are being posted on this board kind of problematic. They can clog up the threads and some people find that they slow down the flow of the reading of the posts. The same goes for the posting of the overlarge book covers.
I appreciate everyone's feedback and all your contributions to this wonderful board. I hope we can work this out. Thank you all for your understanding.
Happy reading to all!
Sunny

Thanks, @sunala, for all you do here. The large pictures don’t bother me at all, but maybe with different computers it can cause problems? I’m on an iPad. I would have no idea how to fix that.
However, I don’t mind double posts, bad spelling, or grammar mistakes, either. So maybe it’s just me! 🙂
Thanks to this forum, I’ve reread Miss Read books and just ordered an E. F. Benson book. I enjoy reading everyone’s take on his or her favorite books.

I don't really mind the pictures but sometimes there are too many. That said there must be plenty who enjoy them as they keep increasing.

I don't think the problem is with the original postings. I believe it could be when we reply to a post, and leave in the oversize pictures in the thread. It causes a lot of scrolling. I caught myself doing this last month.
One small request that I would like to make would be that when we read a book and tell others how much you have enjoyed it, please do not mention if something big is going to happen at the end of the book Even if you have not mentioned what the surprise will be that spoils it for me and I am sure others.

I don't really mind the pictures either. In fact I thought the one with the huge Amazon box full of books was amusing.
However, I was thinking maybe those that like to post sayings and book covers could start a separate thread for them. Then those that enjoy them can look and those that don't care for them can go straight to the What Are You Reading thread.

You're welcome. I hope this will be a good solution for all concerned.

@sunala I have mixed feelings on this. Sometimes the large sayings are annoying and sometimes they're cute (usually they are cute). I'm not fond of the oversized book covers. They do not compel me to read a book any more than a brief, positive description. And speaking of a brief description, I'm also not fond of the reviews that are just pasted from Amazon. They are usually too long and I tend to skip over them. And I can just go to Amazon and read them for myself. I'd rather the person posting would just give their opinion. Sorry, hope I'm not being too crabby.

@icezeus, I don't want to ruin anyone's fun. I don't understand what you mean here. Can you clarify? "Something big" happens at the end of most books so I want to know where the line is.
Like, again with "The Traveling Cat Chronicles," the man is traveling to decide to whom he should give his cat -- which makes it obvious something big is going to happen or why would he be giving away his cat?
Also a twist at the end, I love to know there's a twist at the end, it doesn't spoil anything for me. I want to be surprised and love to hear there are surprises at the end. Not arguing with me, just I'm confused and want to understand what you mean.
