wrote:Thanks, @sunala, for all you do here. The large pictures don’t bother me at all, but maybe with different computers it can cause problems? I’m on an iPad. I would have no idea how to fix that.
However, I don’t mind double posts, bad spelling, or grammar mistakes, either. So maybe it’s just me! 🙂
Thanks to this forum, I’ve reread Miss Read books and just ordered an E. F. Benson book. I enjoy reading everyone’s take on his or her favorite books.
I keep thinking about re-reading Miss Read
Have you looked at D E Stevenson's books you might enjoy those as well

I use a Mac laptop and the pictures big or small do not clog the thread at all. I don't mind ANYTHING as it appears on the montly thread. Funny pictures, little side blurbs or antidotes. It is fun to read the enthusiasm as it pertains to the reader's frame of mind. Whether it is the annoying book cover or the actual synosis of the book. If I wanted a bland run of the mill review without any detours, I can just read the mamy reviews out there.
The little things which annoy some people make it special for me.
It was me that uploaded the white cat pciture for @LoriLori
I come to the thread every once in a while and didn't know it would cost a scene and chapter.

@Yahooey I think that has been the expression on my face while reading some of the posts on this thread. Cutest cat I have seen in a long time. Thanks for the treat on this Friday a.m.

One small request that I would like to make would be that when we read a book and tell others how much you have enjoyed it, please do not mention if something big is going to happen at the end of the book Even if you have not mentioned what the surprise will be that spoils it for me and I am sure others.
@icezeus, I don't want to ruin anyone's fun. I don't understand what you mean here. Can you clarify? "Something big" happens at the end of most books so I want to know where the line is.
Like, again with "The Traveling Cat Chronicles," the man is traveling to decide to whom he should give his cat -- which makes it obvious something big is going to happen or why would he be giving away his cat?
Also a twist at the end, I love to know there's a twist at the end, it doesn't spoil anything for me. I want to be surprised and love to hear there are surprises at the end. Not arguing with me, just I'm confused and want to understand what you mean.
I guess it just depends on the reader. I do not like to know when a twist or a surprise is coming up at the end. I prefer to be caught of guard or to finish a book and think I never saw that coming.
No big deal, I love this thread. I will just skim some posts instead of reading thoroughly. (smile)

I am no longer going to post Amazon rundowns of what the book is about, due to arm pain I can no longer write full reviews myself, so all I will say about a books in the future is rather I liked it or not, I do not want to upset anyone with my long posts, if I had the ability to review each book on my own I would, but typing is very painful at this point, sorry if my posts made anyone nod off!

@CareBears please just keep doing whatever you've been doing. I certainly did not mean to cause you to be uncomfortable. Although I will say, I love your personal reviews after you've finished the book.

@smoky22 You did not make me uncomfortable, I just cannot type out the reviews I did of the past, the pain in the arm is just too much at this point, that is why I had to change to post the run down from Amazon.

Carebears: please keep doing what you have been doing. I get almost all my book suggestions from you, we like the same reads. You have never stirred me wrong on a recommendation. Please don't change a thing.
