I wanted to post here and say if you want to see your beauty or hair vendors more often you hsve to buy their products.  It is all based on sales.  If they don't sell a lot, they will not be on at all or less.  I know this b/c I used to hsve a friend on another shopping channel who told me it is based in sales,  keep supporting your vendors by purchasing products and you will see them on QVC.  That is why u see philosophy, Susan graver, Josie, Dooney and Bourke a lot.

That is all I wanted to say.  Stay safe to everyone in FL and in KS

@Jax016. I understand what you are saying and why this would be true.   I am a widow so buying for 1 person.   I have found vendors I love and if I try something else I have regrets for money lost and always go back.  I buy the larger sizes when price is a savings and I get on auto delivery.  Would this show as a single purchase?  Some things are auto for a year and sometimes 2 years.   If a better deal comes along, this is rare, I will cancel the auto delivery and start with the new.  I am a steady for those products and watch their shows to see their new products because I trust this vendor.  I am on QVC for my vendors show but this may mean I watch and buy from the show before or after.  Take away my favorite products and you lose me as a customer.  One lost customer is no problem for them but for some reason it appears that they have been losing many customers.    I support my vendors by watching even if I dont need anything.  Do I have to order something from every show?   What is the purpose of buying the largest size offered if it counts against my wants/needs as a customer and against the vendors credit for number of sales?   I know.  Don't try to make sense of the practices and thinking of the sales industry and how they make their determinations of what the public wants. IMO it appears that they heavily promote the products they want to get votes for their awards show starting just before the voting begins.  Other products that appear to sell out when on (and reviews say are loved)  don't get show time during this period.  How do they select the nominees?  Some this year I did not know were sold on QVC.

@Gram WI think I buy the way you do. I buy for one (me!) and I buy what I like when I need it.  After a period of overbuying when it took way too much time to use what I'd paid for, I've vowed never to do that again.

For me, the overbuying wasn't just QVC.  In fact, staying out of Saks and Bloomies and Nordstrom let me save more than I ever spent here at the Q -  and I spent plenty here.

As I need their products, I'll support my vendors for Wen, for Philosophy (really just Purity for me), and my major expense -Perricone.  I don't want to buy what I can't use and right now I have enough Wen and enough Purity for months still even though I've made no recent purchases.

I'm not sure how the "credit" to the vendor works, but I have 3 Perricone items on AD.  I assume each counts as a sale because I could cancel any time I want to and each of them is a significant QVC purchase.  Still - it's not from current airtime and I do get that buying while something is being presented gets more credit.  How else can they measure whether the presentstions are worth the costs involved?

I didn't watch the beauty award show for more than 5 minutes.  Had to drag myself away from the Weather Channel for those minutes.  Saw Laura (I must have enough of that blush for the rest of my life!) and Jane's gorgeous dress.

Re: the vendors

You see Susan Graver a lot because QVC owns her line. That's why there's never a move to quie ther down a notch.   I have to wonder ifhey also own LOGO and TempTations as well as others.

@Gram W  No you don't have to purchase every time your favorite vendor is on but it is based on sales though.  More sales they make more you see them.  That how it is measured though.  It would be nice to measure it by how meany people watch the shows but they don't.  It is all about making money.  I agree with if the vendors I like leave QVC,  I would go elsewhere.  Too many left QVC over the years.  I guess that is the way it is sometimes.
