@151949, I find that comment very surprising since freckles seem to be having a moment right now. Although  I don’t think she meant any harm it was a rude and thoughtless comment.  I  have freckles which I would never try to hide with heavy makeup and I was happy to see Meghan proudly showing her freckles at the Royal wedding,

@151949

First off, I must say I loved your husband's response.  Very sweet

and an honest response!

I'll bet you look wonderful with your freckles.

P.S.  I am fair with freckles.  I used to want the kind of skin that could tan beautifully, but this is who I am and that's fine.

I have freckles. It would be next to impossible to get rid of them as I have them on my face and lower arms. I inherited a celtic complexion as well as inheriting freckles from my Japanese grandmother.

I am prone to melasma as well as age spots too. But as long as the freckles on my face are evenly spread out I don't think it's ageing. I have done peels to get rid of the age spots on my face but they do have a tendency to come back but not as strong as before with sun exposure. I wear sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses while outside too.

I don't try and disguise freckles but I do disguise the melasma on my upper lip with foundation and concealer.

My age spots are more on my arms and shoulders than my face or neck - thank goodness. I do have one on the side of my face that , thankfully, is right under the side of my glasses. We get the side windows of the car tinted to prevent the sun exposure when driving. You see many people down here who have spots on only one side of their face from the sun coming in the side window of the car.
